A couple of nights ago, I watched the movie "Blow Up" with Vanessa Redgrave. The movie is about this photographer who by photographing this couple in a park, finds a dead body on one of his shots (wich explains why the woman chased him to get the roll of film in his camera). Then there is a cool scene where the Yardbirds play this gig where everybody's smoking weed and Jeff Beck breaks his guitar after his amp starts failing on him. Cool movie.

I was wondering if any of you have a cool movie that evolves around photography that they could include in this list. Old or recent.

Day for Night takes place during the filming of a movie. There's an episode of Columbo (guest-starring Dick Van Dyke) which revolves around photography. There's a funny scene in A Hard Day's Night involving cameras.

Can't have a thread like this without mentioning "Memento"

Sure, he's just using a Polaroid, but that's still photography.. and in some circles, it's a very strong form of photography.

Has anyone here seen City of God? Just curious...

Spiderman? Peter Parker does get a lot of shots of that guy.

Seriously, isn't The Bridges of Madison County about a photographer?

I have to admit I have not. But I'll sure look for it next time I go the video store.

Sounds good. Just so you all know, its based on a true story. A quick synopisis:

Two boys growing up in a violent neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro take different paths: one becomes a photographer, the other a drug dealer.

Someone Has to Shoot the Picture

I saw this one quite a few years ago. It's a pretty heavy storyline, but I like a good drama from time to time.

Oh it's charades now.... let me see "nothing to see here" sounds like star wars. Now that had those spy droids flying around so I guess that could qualify as a camera movie at a stretch .
