Is this shot okay? It was done with, well, A80. I just grabbed a black cloth as background. Window light. :-)

i like it, but i could see the black background cloth too much, so i fiddled with the curves a little and this is what i got:

| Wonderfully simple composition, really lets the color and texture of flower shine. But I agree with Evan that the background is a bit distracting and raising the black-point definitely helps. His edit also bumped the contrast, which is a good idea. But contrast isn't a one-size-fits-all, you should try playing with it and see what you prefer. |
