Hi all
I̢۪m yet another new visitor to the site, eager to slowly become involved in discussions as I improve my knowledge of photography. I purchased my first digital camera (only a compact) just under a month ago, but am already frustrated by its lack of manual control and average image quality, but what can you expect for $500AUS!
I̢۪m finding the forums very helpful as I have a lot to learn, but I̢۪m happy to say how much I̢۪m simply enjoying going out and finding subjects to shoot.
I went down to Brighton Beach (Vic, Aust) last weekend and took a few shots //ben-harris.fotopic.net/. I̢۪m sure you can tell I have a long way to go until I̢۪m taking photos of the quality as many of you, but I̢۪m eager to learn!
Now I just need to save up for a digital SLR... |

welcome to dpc ben! hope you enjoy your stay.
cool photos of the beach boxes. just hang out on dpc for a while, the knowledge that pours out of this place is unbelievable.

you stated that your eager to slowly become involved in discussions...lol good luck...this site has a habit of grabbing you by your typing fingers and getting you involved in ALL sorts of discussions.
Welcome aboard (sorry Navy man here), hope you enjoy it.
