Hi All
Last night I noticed that when I press "W" to zoom out it started to make a funny noise . Has anyone had this before...
I have email the company where I brought it from and am awaiting a response ;-( |

hi Ashish
to me it sounds tinny not the same as when you are zooming in...
So i'm not wanting to use it just in case until I have heard back .. feels like my right arm is cut off ;-(

Hi,
Mine did a similar thing a couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be a small (ish) bit of fluff was stuck between the lens parts, so when zooming out there was friction causing the motor to whine more than usual. Maybe this is the same thing.
Hope yuo get it sorted quickly; I know what a panic I was in.

Hi Paul
Did you manage to sort it yourself?

I was luckily able to get it out by zooming out to max a few times and being able to grab the edge of the fluff and pull it out. Don't know if this would be the recommended way of doing it though....
Good luck!
