Started playing around with PS filters (radial blur namely)

I like the one of the girl running. The guy walking give me a real disoriented feeling. Almost like a bad set of glasses.

The first one is wonderful. Try using history brush to remove the artifacts above her head... The second doesn't do much for me, though.

i really dislike these effects in general. the girl pic is really nice & I think might be great just on its own. Perhaos bumo up the contrast to get rid of the grey-y look.
I'd be interested in finding out y so many peeps likethis effect as lots have stated in past threads that they do.
Why do you like the effect?

I prefer achieving these kinds of effects in camera. To me it adds a dimension to the image that is not usually there on the 2D flat plane.

For me, I'm just fiddling around with PS stuff. I'm experimenting with ways to draw the eye to a certain part of the picture, and I thought this would be an interesting way of doing it.
Here's a redone version of the girl (minus the stuff above her head)
and the original (straight out of the camera) for you rooster :)

I didn't use it on this particular picture, but I've been playing with it on other pictures. Thanks for the tip on how to use it! Greatly appreciated

now that's better. The original, IMHO, is much more appealing to me. But I do have to say that the fiddling in ps is the way to go. I rather enjoy seeing the results of such activities. Thanks for sharing! |

I like the first one of the girl running....but upping the contrast would be more effective for me!
