I like the sentiment expressed but, unfortunately, the goal is impossible. Our only hope is to head it in a slightly saner direction.

Too sad. This world and this life are beautiful: flaws and all. Cynicism is fashionable - unfortunately.

Maybe so, but the amount of destruction that the human race has put upon this beautiful planet be it environmentally, humanistically or otherwise is truly the saddest thing of all. It's not indestructible, as much as we'd like to think it is. :-(

It's certainly not (indestructible). And it doesn't make it any better that every time you turn around, someone is threatening to nuke someone else. Just recently, 2 Chinese military officials were quoted as saying that if the US honored their committment to defend Taiwan, they would nuke "hundreds" of US cities. Sadly, they aren't the only ones promising massive nuclear death and destruction to further their own ends. I'm not trying to be pro-US here (I realize it's unfashionable). Such an act of utter destruction would wreak unGodly havoc on the rest of the world environment - I can't even imagine the damage.

Sad as that t-shirt is, it's so true...
