Managed to get a much needed break last Thursday and decided to get back out on the hills. My friend and I did a small but gruelling section of the West Highland Way from Glencoe to Kinlochleven.
It`s approximately a 12 mile round trip but includes a very steep section called "The Devil`s staircase".
Started on the walk at 8:30am when it was grey with lots of low lying cloud

By the time we completed the return journey the sun was out and gave the whole place a totally different look

Below are some pics from sections of the walk

I hope to be making this a regular thing this year, if time and weather permit and it may well be that I post pics from walks more regularly than submit to challenges..unless the challenge subject allows me to combine the two :)

I love the first shot with The small cottage adding scale.Hope you had a good walk. We live just outside the Lake District so we get to climb most weekends (when its not raining :-)

Thanks for the kind words Graham..I`m afraid I haven`t had much chance to keep my hand in recently because of work commitments but that`s beginning to slacken a bit and I`m hopeful that I can get a bit more opportunity to submit to future challenges...but if not, there will always be the odd few pics from any walks I can manage.
(Haven`t seen much of the Lake District but the little I did see reminded me very much of the Trossachs area up here.)

Puma and Swan...thanks for the comments.
