I went to turn on my canon today and after a few minutes with it on while checking out some shots the LCD just went blank. I checked my battery and there was one bar left. Does the camera just shut off the LCD to save power after a few seconds?

could be a few things...
1. you're looking at them during the review time, which can be changed in the menus.

2. you bumped the shutter button while looking at them.

Nope, I checked. I think I may have a faulty battery. I just don't know why I can take photos, but not view them or the menu screen.
