Some of us who like to spend money well, but once, try a sample lens or rent one before buying. Before I spend $500 on a fisheye lens I wanted to try out he effect with a $40 unit from eBay to see how much I'd use it. $40 well spent!

I tried amy friend's 10-22mm. wow, what a wide angle grab it has. the sigma or Canon 15mm fisheye? Not as much of an angle but i love the curved effect. I won't sell any of these shots I'm sure but I like them.

So to the experiment. So you are a skateboarder or bmx'er. You have a rebel 300d and you can't afford a pricey fisheye? Well f-stop is your friend with one of the eBay cheapos.

Here are the examples:
Processing: Unsharp mask only. Default settings.

As you can see around the edges, an f-stop of 22 can really improve your image. Hope this helps someone who is looking for a toy or play lens or someone who wants to get one as a trial lens before they chose form wideangle or true fisheye.
