I didn't even take the picture with the contest in mind, as I had not even registered for the site yet, but it was taken within the time frame luckily and I submitted it right away.

Not as hard to win over there. Not as hard a DPC anyways.

Anyone registered on fotofight, or thinking of doing so, may wish to read this thread.

In short, be aware that much of the concept, design and data used for Fotofight was flat-out stolen from DPChallenge. At one point, the Fotofight contest rules were a near clone of those on DPC.

I'm not saying you shouldn't join, but you should certainly be aware of this before handing over your entries (and especially your originals) to someone who has demonstrated his willingness to steal the creative works of others.

ClubJuggle:
concept - yes (it happens every day with every concept out there)
design - definately not
data - the data was created by the members
rules - big mistake on my part (I apologized and fixed the situation)

Anyone that is concerned with me stealing their creative work, you might find some security in knowing that there is a copyright statement at the bottom of every page as well as a terms of use that were both created with the members in mind (to protect their work). Most of the members are in close contact with me on the message boards, pm, and email and I think they can attest that I am a pretty honest guy. I have no intentions to steal anyone's photos for any reason what so ever.

I'm getting kind of tired of people knocking fotofight here at dpchallenge. I dont have anything against dpchallenge, and as you can see, many members are happy to participate in multiple sites. I understand that I made a bad first impression with the rules... but as I stated above, I honestly felt stupid for doing that, and I tried my best to fix the situation.

I have spent a lot of time setting fotofight up for members to use freely and it is largely controlled by the members. I dont see any reason for you to criticize it other than wanting to be loyal do DPC. The main movtivation for creating it was to create a contest photography sites that I had more control over how things were done. As it turns out, I dont even have the time to enter contests now - I spend most of my time updating and enhancing the site.

So, ClubJuggle, I invite you to come over and see how it is. I am not asking you to leave DPC, just to give fotofight a chance to change its first impression that it made on so many members here.

As for the contests being easier to win... that happens when there are only a handful of participating members ;)
