I must admit, when I had the misfortune of having a post hidden by virtue of a misunderstanding on the part of SC, I am glad that I had the capacity to feel slightly embarrassed, apologise for the lack of clarity in my post and forget about it.

The title reminds me of a song Tesla remade. I don't know who originally done it.
And the sign said anybody caught trespassing would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and yelled at the house, Hey! what gives you the right

As an individual your voice will be heard, maybe not agreed to or acted on.
If you posted something derogatory to a group of people or generally about their beliefs - it should be removed.
Since it seems the original post offended you and you only - not a group of people or their beliefs - it shouldn't be removed. That is the intention of the 'ignore thread' button.
Furthermore, if this is happening to you frequently - maybe you should take a look at how you communicate as editing posts by SC doesn't seem to be a problem for the general public on this site. |

No, since I am on a T3 line it wasn't re-opened before I opened another but regardless, my point is that SC is ONE sided. This was just the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. It is my belief that SC should not be editing/removing (unless threatening)/deleting or hiding a persons comments. Again see above 2 posts.

actually it didn't. My original post was hidden which spawned the second post. Scalvert I believe already said this.

I've seen all the posts so no need to read them yet again. As stated - if it offends one person there is no need to delete or move. If it offends a general belief or group of people action does need to be taken.
I don't understand why you think that something ONLY offending you when there are thousands of people that participate here should be removed.
And to answer your original question? Drew and Langdon give them the right - simple as that and it's been very well pointed out that the TOS you agreed to warned you that it could happen.
I think you need to let it go. |

You're both right - Tesla remade the song by Five Man Electrical Band and called their album Five Man Acoustic Jam. :)
