I assume this is hyperbole. I'm also sure the "Ignore" option is available to you.

Perhaps we should just leave it this way...

What gives us the right? The site administrators and their rules.

You don't think we should edit or delete posts? Duly noted, as it was the first time you made a thread like this.

I think that's about all the resolution we're going to get here.

Your initial post was offtopic, whereas the original as on topic. This was the primary reason for its removal, and has no relation to whether any post was deemed offensive or not.

Sure it does. He quoted a religious quote and I asked " where is your GOD now???" I didn't bring religion into it. I merely asked a question which was removed by SC. Editing the public voice as usual IMO.

The thread wasn't a religious discussion, whereas your question was starting one, hence it was offtopic, hence removed.

Your double talking. I didn't start this thread on religion I started it to say that YOU'S as sitecouncil have no business edtinging a post where it didn't need to be edited. If you delete ONE then you should delete ALL in regards to the subject. By deleting mine your showing favoritism to christians which is against 4.2

Just a reminder to keep posts ontopic. Religious discussion should take place in the Rant forums...

wow, my post lasted 10 whole seconds.

I second this motion and suggest we have a tasty beverage.

I'm not showing any favouritism, I'm merely hiding posts that are offtopic. The thread was not discussing religion, therefore your posts were offtopic.

Mine wasn't religious discussion, it was a discussion about NotOnline being offended at religious material. If it was deleted cuz I quoted his post, couldn't you edit out the quote? :)

Look notonline, I've been censored trying to reply to you. lol

do you even understand what I was asking for??? and why??? I wouldn't have had to post a second thread if the first one wasn't hidden plz remember that. It was not out of malicious intent or disrespect of taterbug but merely things had come to a boil and are now left in drew and langdon's hands.

I got into the office this morning and found this thread. I read. ...and I read. .....and read some more. Then I hit refresh and found that I now had a lot more reading to do, so I read. ...and read. Hit refresh again and read faster and faster. Read, read, read, refresh, read, refresh, read. Holy crap! I'll never keep up! So I will just leave my contribution and walk away...

I understand what you are asking for. I'm acknowledging that I have heard your request/opinion.

Where's my post on keeping communication during work hours focused on work? There were no religious references in it. Why was it deleted?........ OH my bad, it's on page one of this thread. Sorry! ;)

Thanks to Muckpond for posting the comments that were hidden so we can all see what the excitement is about.

Thanks to the SC for volunteering their time to run The Greatest Site On The Internet so that we "no-lifes" can have a place to hang out.

Thanks to D&L for creating TGSOTI.

Thanks to my parents for all the support and inspiration.

Thanks to Mrs. Stevens, my high school typing teacher for teaching the most useful class I ever had in High School.

Back from lunch ...

Based on what I've read, I think that statement sums up the decision of the SC the best. notonline, your comments were inflammatory and not pertinent to the OP. You were the one attempting to start what appears to be a religious debate in a thread wherein the topic of the thread wasn't specifically addressing religion.

ETA: Darn, I knew I would miss all the fun.

Please send all pacifers to:
1001 Queen St. West
Toronto, Ontario
Canada

Its not the point of bickering but the point of being heard regardless of the topic and regardless of my post which was finally done here after 9 pages. move over chit rabbington LOL but seriously and I think everybody should be onboard with this. If you have something to say then you should say it without consiquence or editing. Now that Sc understands (finally) this thread can drift off into the rake as seen above. You know... there's never a forum killer around when you need one.
