Can somebody tell me how to make a particular object "colored" on a black and white photo? |

There are LOTS of ways to do it, but you can start with this tutorial to see how to do it within basic editing rules. I know there have been lots of threads dealing with this so I'll see what all I can dig up.

This is one way of doing this, for starters.
1. Select (pick out) your image. Duh. :)
2. Make and adjustment layer of Hue/Saturation. (Located under your Layers palette.)
3. Slide the Saturation slider to -100 and hit ok.
4. In the new adjustment layer on the mask (white box to the right):
Pick your brush and size of desire and "paint" with Black over the area you want to allow color to come through. (Black it positive areas to add color, and White is negative to abstract any color)
5. Then with your background image, you can still go back and make all other adjustment as well, or before. I reprehend Adjustment Layers, as these will not affect you main image file. You can always trash a layer if a mistake had been made or donĂ¢€™t like your outcome, without having to start all over.
Happy tinting!
