Correct, any one shot may only be submitted to one challenge, period. You may also enter either of the two Open challenges this week, but not both.

However, there's no reason your Bubbles entry can't be composed using the ROT (what I was talking about in my earlier post); likewise your ROT entry could contain bubbles.

Well I just submitted my picture to ROT and I love it. It cracks me up, but its one of those personal preferences that probably not many people will share the same vision as me.

Just gotta do it every now and then and say screw the score. Probably gonna be tough to watch the score all week, but hopefully there will be some good comments.

I just submitted my first ever entry to Rule of Thirds.

Now, get this people. If I don't ribbon on this I'm NEVER becoming a member. Okay?

In addition, I'll start a rant thread whinging about my score for the rest of the month.

You will need to consult with skippy on the proper way to announce the fact that you have a ribbon winner. 2nd, if you fail and want to whine you will need to locate "CHIT" for that. DO YOU HAVE A RAKE?

So, I'm at work and having second thoughts about my Rule of Thirds photo and thinking I should have stuck with my bubbles photo. Of course, I'm at work and won't get home until after the challenge(s) have already started their voting periods.

Although it's a decent photo (in my opinion), I'm thinking this might be a 'Ten Shades of Suck' photo for me.

Just venting. Prove me wrong folks! lol

I am amazed at how many entries are not following the rule of thirds at all. Many seem to make a rule of "fourths", or have their object nowhere near the intersection of the one-third lines, or the lines of their photo (horizon, shoreline, etc) are nowhere near the one-third lines.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. In voting on the Thirds pictures, I think they are noticeably better than what we usually get. I don't think that the subject has to be placed with mathematical precision on the thirds lines, but a rough approximation does improve things a lot.
