Thanks! That was with the 12-24mm at 15mm, ISO 100, f/16 at 1.5sec. |
How did the sunset filter shots turn out?

OK, I quickly went through my Catskills photos and picked out a few to post. Pity I didn't get home earlier because I like a couple of these better than my challenge entry. There are a few more in my portfolio.

Nice stuff, scalvert. Kaaterskill is one of my favorite places. Did you guys hike up to the upper falls or just stay down at the bottom?

We didn't go to the very top, just to the base of the upper falls.
Here are a couple of mine from another area:
I got lots of great ones--many from similar perspectives like Shannon's not surprisingly! Like Shannon, too, I didn't have time to go through them all before posting for the challenge. What a shame.
Here are a couple of "different" ones:
I have a lot of great shots from the day--I'll upload more tonight into my Catskills folder as I clear out my old workshop files.

I really love both yours and scalvert's shots with the soft glow of foliage in the background. I think you guys did better with foliage than we did! I'm still processing mine from the weekend and probably won't get any finished until Thursday at this point -- just too much going in. |

Well.. I'm back in NYC and wanted thank everybody for making this GTG fun. Hope to see you all again.
For those who were not there, we had a Halloween ghost following us everywere. Here you can see he tried to get KaDi:

Sure looks like you're trying to corrupt him. If memory serves, it wasn't long before you were on the other side of that sign! :-O |

Okay, here are a few of mine after super quick editing. After looking at the others I'm a little afraid to post these but hey, I had the crappiest camera there and I don't think I did too badly! ;)
And of course the group shots: :) Didn't get too much of a chance for some candids with this group, the telephoto on my camera was messing up really bad so I couldn't zoom in like I normally would have, oh well, next time!
And last but certainly not least, just to show the Toronto Zoo Group we can have fun too:
Proof that MeThos backside is MUCH cuter than Slipstrikes! :)
