Sorry you missed it! We're thinking about doing another one on the 29th. Interested?

Just a hint about Treman State Park...Start at the top. When there's a chance to go to the overlook take that trail. You'll eventually get to a bridge where you can go back up. There's not much reason to hike the lower 2 miles...so go counter clockwise and you'll be fine. MeThoS and Butterflysis can tell you what happens to people who go the other direction--if they've caught their breath yet, that is. =)

29th sounds great as well, I just thought this weekend the colors here look really good, but there is nothing wrong in capturing these beautiful colors twice :) before we hit the patch of beautiful whites !

and thanks for the input.. except that I don't mind hiking, still the beautiful part is all in the last 1/2mile (or first 1/2mile, depending on where you start)

I'll PM a link where we're beginning to talk about the 29th. I agree with the assessment for this weekend...just wish we'd had a little sun and a bit more color on Sunday!

It's not the hike, per se, it's the steep switchbacks on the overlook trail...you want to be going downhill when you hit them!

Still catching your breath, Jen?
(By the way, I thought that was awful...Neuf calling you a dork! I can only deduce that from the fact that Mavrik's photo has only 1 "pro" in it, as far as I can tell, and you're closest to him. ;-))

I quoted the wrong one! I meant to quote the one where I was in the shot with MeThoS! I didn't even see it until afterwards!

EEK!

Sorry Jen!

Really, I'm the dork

NONONONONONO!!! I'm the dork! I was supposed to respond to this picture:

but hit the wrong respond button and didn't notice!

Please don't be mad at me!

Deannda
I know/hope you're just teasing, LOL :)

You should all consider yourselves fortunate, lucky, blessed that Man!c wasn't there.

He has a habit...a passion...a skill.....a talent....No.....a sick perversion for capturing innocent GTG'ers at their positive worst.

Nuthin but charm shots

Roll the dirt...

Looks like you all had a great time. Keep the images coming. I need to make my way up the Hudson. Priceless color.

Here are photos from my road trip. Some are the day before or the day after of the official GTG.

Getting out of NYC. It is not easy. In order to get out you must first go back in.

Open roads ahead.

Satrurday in Ithaca and around.

The day of GTG

The day after. I liked Ithaca so much that I stayed there for one more day.

On the drive back I hit more waterfalls at Dellaware Water Gap

Thanks for looking. Hope to see you all again soon.

Nice images, Nick!
I see you found Bebee Lake on the Cornell campus!
(BTW, I've been cursing the weather all week since both the sky and trees have improved every day!) Oh, well, maybe the leaves will hang on until the 29th!

Sweet! Is that last one with that filter you were using the day we shot together? Very, very nice!

Deannda
See why I'm impressed people?

See if I can remember the last ones filter stack, polarizer + 2 stop ND grad + 3 stop ND grad+sunset 2+ coral strip. I think that's all I used.

I think the 3rd one is my fav as well, althought I love the lighting on the first one. They're all great, though. Wish I could've joined you on that trip.

I like the 3rd one too. However 4th one has more color so it makes it stand out from the rest. There are less things in 3rd one so it makes it better in its own way.

Ah...ever the photog thinking. (BTW, did you ever answer Watermark's question on the last pic?)
