Another question, if you'll forgive the piggyback: I'm shopping for backdrops as well and am wondering what the best size backdrop would be for model shoots. For those who use backdrops, how high do you normally hang them and what length do you like to use? Thanks!
Edit to say that I'm talking about solid or patterned backdrops that you stretch out onto the floor and that the model stands/poses on.

I would say if you are using muslin backdrops, a good size would be 10'x12' at least. If you can get a 10'x20' backdrop that would be better. If you want to use seamless paper, I would say to get the 107" wide paper. This would give you enough room to pose the model without limitations. I personally have a 9' Backdrop support system and I always put it as high as I can. |
