I am the 4.0 queen in dpchallenge, but it is a learning process for me. I learned this morning that magazine covers should be portrait and not landscape. I printed one of my bridge photos on my home printer, went to the dollor store and got a $3. mat, $3. frame and entered it in the local photo contest. Their were lots of beautiful photos, beautfully framed, I didnt thank i had a chance. But i won first place. Thank you DPC for being rough on me.//www.pbase.com/image/17704839 |

I had a look at your picture...and I found it great !! Very nice view and perfect color... I'm also new in DPC and I have a lot of 4.0 too ! But it's good to learn, and I'm really pleased because a lot of people add comments to my pics and it's good to have different opinions |

Congratulations!
What lifts your photo from other similar shots I have seen is that wonderful foreground pillar at the left hand side. I really like it!
Woo Hoo to you!

This is a great story. Thanks for sharing. This gives us all the motivation to keep going, despite the 4's / 5's. There is hope! |

Diana, I love that shot! I agree with O.S.S. DPChallenge forces us to pay closer attention to important details and be more picky about our photography, which might not give us ribbons here, but we're a cut above the other amatuer photogs in our own neck of the woods. Congrats! |

If DPChallenge was easy , How many of us would be here ? I wouldn't be, It is that Challenge we are all after. |

Congratulations Diana for taking first place in the "Best Of Show". It's a great picture. I agree that DPC is hard on us but if it weren't for the comments we wouldn't learn a thing. Keep on shooting. There's a ribbon waiting for you at DPC. |
