I was wondering what basic steps I should take to ensure my colors are displayed as accurate as possibleâ€Â¦without actually spending money :) I noticed my pictures in Photoshop always had a slightly different but definitely noticeable color cast compared to how they appeared on the web. Photoshop is using "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" and Windows was using a proprietary ICM I guess my monitor (Samsung) installed. I changed my Windows color management ICM to "sRGB Color Space Profile" and now everything at least appears the same in all programs. What settings and profiles, if any, do you all use? Thanks!

I'm wondering this as well - looking at a couple of pictures on two different systems I saw some very noticeable differences in color representation (between screens, who knows what a print would have looked like).

Using the sRBG IEblah blah is your best bet at uniformity on other systems but as you already found out the end user monitor or system may still be poorly calibratted or have a prefered color management system. While photoshop reccomends working and saving in the adobeRBG space for print I've just stuck with sRBG IEC etc etc for web and the print colors have been right on from my own cannon printer and from two different online print houses I've used even for 10x14 prints.
