i was rather dissapointet by my result of this challenge
is it that bad, why do some pro photographers love it then

DPC doesn't usually support abstractions, and it doesn't usually support "soft" images, and it doesn't usually support "muddy" color, and yours has elements of all three. I gave it a 6, myself; thought it was a very pleasing, painterly image. But voters who don't like this sort of stuff will probably not look past the sharpness and light-balance "issues", hence the preponderance of low scores.

Yep, bear's right. If the image is too demanding, if it isn't comprehensible in less than five seconds, and if it wouldn't look at home on a Hallmark greeting card, it's unlikely to do very well. I didn't vote in this challenge, but now that I'm looking it took me at least 20 seconds to start to feel connected with your image; and then I began to like it very much. Of course, intellectually demanding images do still sneak through from time to time ... consider the yellow ribbon winner in the 'What?' challenge. I hope you'll submit more stuff like the swan!

I like the feel of the image but I would have cropped it tighter. Ditto on what has been said by other posters.
