I don't have that printer but the Epson 2200. I am not sure what kind of controls/setting you have for it but you might post your settings. Also how are you saving your photos for print in CS2.

have you tried calibrating your monitor? I know that after I purchased calibration software my monitor changed dramatically and all is fine with printing.

There are two ways to try (probably more):
For both use print with preview:
1)
a) turn colour management on
b)Choose the monitor profile
c) Choose the printer profile and let the printer convert the information to it's profile for printing
2)
a) convert your image to the printer profile
b) turn colour management off - print as is
I use option 1 and it works very well with my Canon i950. I suspect if you have the correct printer profile it should work for you as well.
NOTE: watch the histogram as you perform your edits. If it bunches up at the left then the print will come out dark.

Hey Carl; I have the same camera, printer, and software with the same problem all my prints are coming out way too dark. The only fix that I have found is with the Epson software I boost the brightness before printing to about 18%. It is a pain plus a waste of paper and ink. What paper are you using? Thats the only thing I have'nt changed yet. I'm using Epson premium Glossy paper for Dura-Brite inks and I'm going to try the Epson Professional Series to see if it helps. If anyone else has any suggestions I'd like to hear them. I'm sure Carl would too. Thanks |

I use CS2 and was considering getting the R320.
If there are issues then maybe i wont.
Could it be a confliction between epson and adobe. |

The ICC file is the printer profile for colour management. I don't know what P.I.M is.
