I wish I had a dog like Snoopy
12/06/2005 10:30:46 PM · #102
I added your Snoopy dog to the list, Nog. :)
12/07/2005 05:32:41 AM · #103
What kind of dog IS Snoopy? Is he a beagle?
12/07/2005 07:52:23 AM · #104
Yeah! I have pictures of a Beagle, which may be as close as I can come to filling that one.

Are you allowed to have a dog where you live Nog?

bumping 'cause I love this idea

I don't really need anything but come spring I have a few projects around the house that I could use some help with.

-- deck
-- fence
-- landscaping
-- finish the basement

I keep checking back to see if there's anything on anyone's list that I can help with.

For those in my area, I have an extra tripod. Too heavy to ship but could be useful in someone's studio where you don't have to cart it around much.

If you can specify the filter size you need it would be helpful for us to determine if we can help. ;o)

For my mother who is seriously ill:
to contact an old friend in France whose maiden name was Michelle Droniou. she lived in Paris nearly 40 years ago when we lost touch. She married and had a daughter called Sandra. She would be about 53 years old now.

For John
a fish eye lens
a light tent
the chance to sail on a tall ship

For me:
a chance to ride in Arizona
a b/w print of either the Maldives or the Grand Canyon
:)

I agree this is a wonderful idea. I am going to keep my eye on this post to see if there is anything I can contribute.

For my wish list I guess the following:
1. a dSLR camera...not picky, just want to upgrade from my Fuji.
2. in lieu of a dSLR, a wide angle and/or telephoto and/or macro lens for my current Fuji.
3. Trip to Africa to accomplish my dream of a wildlife safari for photographic purposes (and then of course to be noticed by NG for my work! LOL)
4. any plug ins for PS7
5. Amazon gift certificates to fulfil my 2nd passion for books.
6. Along the lines of what Kavey posted - this is my favorite non-profit sanctuary. They are doing good work here and would love for everyone to at the least check out their website and read about them:
Big Cat Rescue

Edit to my own wish list....
I am having trouble with stock sites due to noise/artifacts in my pictures. Could really use NI or Noise Ninja to help clear up that problem.
Oh...and on a more personal wish - how about my soulmate? Don't think anyone here can help with that one, but it has been a big wish of mine for quite a while now.

A camera bag, one of the sling style ones that you don't have to take off to access. I like this one.
A lensbaby.
A tiny pocket-sized camera like Canon SD400 for when I don't/can't lug around the big one.
As long as we're dreaming, a lens of actual quality. Anything that will let me know what it's like to take a sharp picture.

Updated the master list with everyone's new lists. cpanaioti - how large is that tripod that it wouldnt be worth to ship it? I know davidx76 is wishing for a tripod that would hold a dslr?
12/07/2005 03:08:31 PM · #115
If there were any needs met today, please let me know so I can update the list (unless it's a surprise)

I'll check the weight/size when I get home. I'll check with Canada Post for cost of shipping. I'll report back later today.

Added and changed a few of the filled items - please review the list when you can and see if you can make a wish come true!

PS. I have gotten so many beautiful PMs that I just wanted to thank you ALL for your help so far, your lists, everything. I'm glad this is working out. 18 days until Christmas! Can you make a wish come true?

This thread is so wonderful and typical of this site. I have had PMs about two of my wishes already!
I am keeping an eye on everyone else's list because I want to try and fulfill someone else's wish.

Come on - join in!

Well, I really do want some things and so I think I will join in. But have have to say I feel very blessed for everything I have. Here goes!

PSCS2
Muslin (prepared or not- I can dye them myself!)
Anything that can be used for setting up a studio- I have nothing at this point, all my shots are outdoors :0)
A good lens for low light situations (well, anything other than my kit lens would be nice!!!)
my shower fixed
Carpet
books (I'm a library girl!)

I hope I am able to help out a few people too :0)

Thanks again Matt! What a great idea
