Have you thought "Front & Back"...that way it will express both sides of your business. Kinda a "for all your fotographic needs"

I'm putting in my vote for the elegant shot, too. I love the flowers, but it just doesn't say "wedding" to me - possibly because there are no faces. The bride and groom in the second image are perfect, and posed just right to allow you to add your contact information on the side. Personally, if I were looking for a wedding photog, I would choose the one who proves he/she can create romantic, classic wedding shots. That second card would have gotten you my business. Let us know what you pick!

I like the second one better.

Got a third choice (runs to hide)
Of the two offered, i like the second one.

My first thoughts on a 2 sided card are that in a rolodex the info side (non photo) would be what they see, so the impact of an image is gone, and you get a simple card, such as my card.

Now when you are handing them out i'm sure the image (color especially) will get oohs and ahhhs ( i sold real estate for several years and the cards with color images on them did get an initial WOW. Not that i think it did more to imrpove sales than a plain card. It was more of a keeping up with the jones' and appearing a bit more established/prosperous)

What do you have for a card now? What is prompting the change? Is that a perceived or real issue? Do either of these address the issue?

I think the second one looks more professional, but I wouldn't rule out using both...makes you more versatile. It's like my Christmas cards this year, the store where I finally found ones I liked didn't have enough boxes of any one card, so I decided to get a box each of all three cards that I liked. I then got to pick which card was best for each friend/relative...it was actually kind of fun.

I like them both very much, but I think I'm leaning towards the first one. It's very vibrant and eyecatching and a little offbeat. While the second is more of a traditional wedding type photo, so I guess it just depends what feeling you're trying to convey to your customers.

Either would work wonderfully though. :-)

I'm going to upload the back of the card:

That's the back (info) side - so it may not lose ALL its impact. :) We're kind of hoping that a two-sided card continues to work for us.

We have a two-sided card that has a closeup of a boutenniere on one side and a faded image of hands on the info side. We are changing it because we just moved and need to update the phone number and stuff. So it's a real issue that we need to order new cards. We are changing them because we have more interesting photos now than we did 6 months ago so I want to make them better. :)

I see no address on either card (front/back etc). I left the addrss of mine as i don't have a studio for public use, but put the town on there where i live. Partly to be local, partly cause i live in the 'white collar professional town' (as opposed to the low rent run down mill towns)

I put a card in with every one of the pet photos i did and the email address is getting used, i am getting calls... i hope the website is getting visits as well.

I think i'd like a photo on the card. Of what, i do not know. So far reveune generation/customer count is predominantly pets and kids with some HS seniors, with weddings (what i want to do) coming in last. I don't want to limit the thinking of the person getting the card as most folks are limited in their ability to think already 8P

It's all i can do to keep one card on me, let alone 3 or 4 variations.

I do like the idea of a 2 sided card, one side with an image. BUT when i think of how i use my card - so far i hand them out to customers or folks i meet that might be customers (one on one). I don't know if an image on teh card would sway them much, or if it would cause them to prejudge my work based on 1 or part of 1 image. If and when i do a bridal show i'll have a brochure to hand out as well as the card.

just my thoughts on the subject.
