Hey,
I am going to be discussing some print options with a potential buyer later today and had a question about metallic prints.

For the following print:

Is going metallic worth it? Will it make any major differences?

Thanks,
Max

Major - metallic is amazing. I have never received a metallic shot that I didn't love.

It's not that much more either...

metallic will make it pop. If your getting it printed big, a high gloss laminate will also help.

I had my Nude III shot done up in an 8x10 metallic print.. It's *fantastic*. The metallic paper really enhances photos IMO. (I'm sure there are instances where it wouldn't be that great, but I think your shot would look brilliant)

OK, stupid question, but I have to ask... metallic prints? Metallic paper? Pigment? Further explanation please.

I am curious to see what you mean by metallic print (yes, I did order the sample ;)

At first I thought you meant something akin to the "Alps MD 5000" Thermal Printer's ability to print with metallic and foil cartridges. (Which if you've ever seen a sample is pretty mind-blowing.)

Was it a color print? I've ordered BW prints on metallic from WHCC.com and thought they looked great, but have never tried color.

I also have received a 20 x 30 metalic print, and the only problem I have is they don't have anything larger than 20x30!

i had this printed on metallic and her eyes actually sparkle. they said "not recommended for portraits" so i was a little hesitant, but i am SO glad i did it.

I have (2) 40x50's on metallic, mounted on 3/4" foam and a high gloss laminate done by another lab.

I wish mPix did high gloss laminate and 40x50's. ;(

I printed an 8x10 (I think) of this picture on metallic paper and it looks like it's 3D, to me anyway. I love this paper.

I also printed an 11x14 of this one and it's just amazing.

BWC in Dallas (I think) I am less than 2 months out from SWPPA and lab time may be as much as 15days so I need to get on the stick
