Delaware County PA Camera Club seeking new members!

We are currently seeking new members, old and young, from novice to pro, to join us and help our group grow! We meet every monday except for the first monday of each month.

Benefits include:

Photographic Outings/Fieldtrips
Workshops
Juried Competition
Awards at the end of the year

Mentors

Attendance is never mandatory, and Club Dues are very reasonable ($35 dollars/yr)

Trinity Lutheran Church
1141 West Chester Pike
Havertown, PA

You dont have to live in delco to join! we have members from Montgomery county as well as New Jersey!

A Sample of what is happening this month...

JANUARY 9 at 8:00 PM: PROGRAM - WONDERS OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND by Mark Aksoy (Mark's Photogallery). A full-circle photographic odyssey from London, thru Wales, around the Emerald Isle, and back to London via Scotland!

JANUARY 16 at 8:00 PM: PROGRAM - DIGITAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY by Michael Leslie (Michael Leslie Photography).

JANUARY 23 at 7:30 PM: PHOTO CRITIQUE of Slides/Prints.
8:00 PM: PROGRAM - THE DIGITAL BASICS Club members Jeremy Lelii and Mike Flannery give us the basic "must knows" for all things digital including cameras, scanners, and software.

JANUARY 30 at 7:50 PM: COMPETITION - ASSIGNED SUBJECT - HUMOR.

"Our Club was founded in 1937, 68 years ago, and is a member of the Delaware Valley Council of Camera Clubs and the Photographic Society of America. Some 70 members strong, we have weekly meetings with workshops and shows featuring outside speakers, as well as slide/print critiques and competitions. And to cap off our season, we feature an awards ceremony. Our mission is: to welcome all newcomers interested in photography regardless of ability or experience!"

Hey Jeremy,

I'd gladly check this out, except I have a conflict in my schedule for Monday nights... sounds like a good group, though!

I've also taken the liberty of updating your subject line to indicate this is Delaware County PA (I think there's one in New York as well).

Maybe I'll pop in and check it on on Martin Luther King day, since my juggling club will be closed.

This thread had me checking out clubs more in the city. Transportation being what it is and all. I found the Photographic Society of Philadelphia on PSAphoto.org and email them.

For anyone else that can't make it to the 'burbs, their next meeting is January 17th at the Plastic Club, 247 S. Camac Street, Philadelphia, PA at 7 PM.
