What batteries work best for your DSLR? How long do they last, how often do you shoot with them, ect? :-) |

if your camera takes a 'standard' sized battery (eg. AA), just buy yourself a fast charger and use 1500mAH NiMH rechargables. they're relatively cheap, you'll plenty of shots from each set and they'll last hundreds of recharges.

Look for higher mAH NiMH type batteries. Pentax is the only dSLR that uses AA batteries without buying a separate grip. Most use Li-ion batteries.

The fujifilm s3pro also uses AA batteries without an additional grip

I just bought a spare from sterlingtech for my XT. Coming from 10 years of working in quality in manufacturing environments, the battery I got from them is the exact same design externally and is identical to the canon that came with my camera, other then labels.
Usually an aftermarket part would have slight differences here and there if it were truly aftermarket. Different structural supports or a different material/color. I'm 95% certain the battery that came with my camera ($50 if you buy it from Canon) was made by the same company on the same machines as my $15 spare from sterlingtech. |
