I've been thinking that this would be a nice idea, and based on this thread, I think there might be relevant interest from others as well-
I'm thinking about a flagging system for forum threads, wherein by clicking a small button somewhere on the interface, a user can flag a thread for inclusion in a 'Best Of' collection. After enough users flag a thread , say, 50 users, then the thread gets linked to from the 'Best Of' list (subject, if it be deemed necessary, to SC approval).
There would be little need for administrative oversight, as the list would be capable of populating itself. Possibly the SC could periodically do a rough sorting by topic, or the 'Best Of' list could mirror the overall structure of the forums with their already extant subcategories.
