Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L IS

My cousin's new baby girl, Maddy. She was born 5 days ago with a tumor on her lung. She'll be going for surgery soon. Please send prayers her way. Thanks!

UPDATE: The surgeon had said he wanted her stronger to do the surgery, but confirmation today that the tumor is growing fairly quickly has speeded things up. She is now scheduled for surgery two weeks from today. Thanks for all your good wishes and I'll update again in two weeks. Kelli

UPDATE: 5 1/2 hour surgery... They have removed all the tumors (there were several apparently) but there is now a leak in the 2nd lobe from the surgery. She'll be in the hospital about 2 weeks while that heals. Her prognosis is great though! Thanks for your best wishes!

UPDATE: 3/24 Maddy came off the vent (breathing tube today). If everything continues healing at the current rate, she should be home within another week or two. Thanks again for all your prayers and best wishes.

UPDATE: 3/31 Maddy comes home from the hospital today. She'll be monitored for the next couple of years to make sure nothing comes back, but other than that it looks as if all your prayers and well wishes worked! Thanks again.

What a little beauty! I wish her and her family the best through the next few weeks. My oldest was born with a hole in one lung and it was very scary, but Doctors knew what they were doing and she's 16 now. My best wishes are with you.

UPDATE: Maddy left for surgery at 5:30am today at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. Surgery should be over by 12PM. Keep up the good wishes!

Her parents are staying at the hospital with her. Other than a call from them when she came out of surgery I haven't heard from them. I don't want to bother them while they're so worried, so I'll wait to hear from them. As soon as I hear I'll post an update. I do know that she is on a breathing tube to help the leak heal. Thanks for all your prayers and best wishes.
