The other day I left Harwich Port under a beautiful sky and headed to the far end of the cape, 45-minute drive. I wanted to shoot Race Point Light for "off center". The further North I got, the worse the sky became. I got to the beach up there, shot a lot of seagulls, and this incredibly poor view of the light just out of stubborness. THEN I got home and found out somehow my sensor had gotten gunked, every shot was trashed with the following garbage:

Unwilling to let it go at that, I determined to make SOMETHING of that bloody image, and arrived at this (which I posted in my "Nuclear Color" thread:

Something about lemons and lemonade appropriate here :-)

That's skillful work, Mr Tee, but I'd say you went a bit far there; it looks more like a stuffed deer in an artificially-lit diorama now. I only mention this because it's a strong enough image that it might be worth seeking a middle ground for this one. If you haven't already...

Your FIRST TRY? That's really nice cloning work. Now go the rest of the way and get the purple harness off him? It looks odd with no leash in evidence. And if it were me I'd give him a little more breathing room left and top; not a whole lot, but he's looking cramped-in there to me.

Good job!

Nothing special but I like the way it came out. A couple months ago I would have been lost trying to do something like this.

I just wanted to start a thread like this.

This thread is great! I love seeing the before and afters! I hope people post more of them. But I am not really seeing that many "bad" before pictures like mine. Your pictures are pretty good to start with.

MandyTurner, this was a great idea for a thread... hard to believe how amazing the talent is here. Perhaps a gallery could be set up so that before and after images could be voluntarily displayed with a brief write up of steps taken. It would give a boost to alot of members and give them something to aspire to. Once again, simply amazing everyone!
