help!

often my pictures don't look the same (contrast, degradation, and colors) after uploading to dpc as they do in photoshop. in fact, even viewing the original on my mac and the uploaded contest photo on my browser on my mac show very different colors. any suggestions on what settings to use, either computer or photoshop specific, to get better upload results?

thanks!

Thomas,
have you manually adjusted the gamma settings for your photoshop?

check whether the "adobe gamma" is automatically load each time you use the computer. I know if it is not, then the adjusted(or calibrated) settings will only apply within Photoshop, and not for your browser or other image viewers. Just my guess.

You don't want to edit for the web in the Adobe RGB colorspace, because it is a larger colorspace than sRGB used by web viewers; you will definitely have color changes between photoshop and and DPC if you do this.

Yes, you definitely want to be using sRGB for web photos. Nix the Adobe RGB.
