I am going to try some weird macro arrangements for my *ist DS.
Kenko 68mm extension tubes + Kenko 1.5x Tele converter + Sigma 105mm f 2.6 + reversed Pentax 50mm f 1.4
I seriously doubt it will be very good but I am going to give it a shot. Will have to be in manual focus only.
Just wondering if anyone else experiments with unsual setups. |

A small nuclear explosion should be enough.

Extreme maybe but hey, if your looking for a 1mm dof then go for it ;)

I've tried 68mm of tubes, coupling ring with 50mm f1.4, TC's(1.4x, 1.7x and 2.0x) on my Pentax-FA 100mm f2.8 but never all at the same time.
Even with the matching rigflash, it's just wayyyy too much trouble with light, useable dof and diffraction.
Give it a go yourself though as it's fun experimenting with these things.
cheers,
bazz. |

I have been playing with it today. I about set fire to a $5.00 bill. I was backlighting it with a 50 watt spot light. Then I smelt a little smoke. Just turned it a brownish color. This is way to extreme I think but I just wanted to see what the most extreme I could get.
Lincolin's eye sized down from a 2000 x 3008 to a 640 x 426
shutter at a 1/20 sec f/2.8 400 ISO
I would do a 100% crop but you couldn't even really see enough detail to know what it is. |
