What do you think? I don't want to hurt the team...even though my Yellow and 2002 scores already have :(

It will probably take AT LEAST a few weeks before I can purchase anything new...

I have to agree with SamDoe1, I also use what is considered a point and shoot and my highest scores are from point and shoots. Remember, it's not the camera, it's the person behind the camera.

I'm sorry about your loss, but you still have at least one camera to work with, right?

I would vote no, as long as you have a camera available to you

Not totally sure but I believe you can substitute for whatever reason maybe the powers to be can clarify.

I don't see any reason that you can't continue to be on team 20D just because you are having to shoot with a P&S but if you and your team wish to call on a substitute please review the rules starting at rule 10 it will explain what you will need to do.

Because we are Team 20D, we started this team for members who use Canon EOS 20D quite simple really.

Sorry, in that case there are two photographers on the sub list with 20D's.

Wow. You're teammate is down and out with his equipment being stolen and you want to replace him? I would have thought team members that have 20D spirit would be an important quality for inclusion.

If it's scores you're worried about, well - why bother? After all it's only a P&S he's using now. He couldn't possibly rise to the top 4 in the team scores with that equipment.

Matt - Sorry about your loss. Slots are full at Team KM currently, but we'd be glad to have you in team spirit if the opportunity comes up. Some new teams are filling up for the next round of WPL if things don't work out for you with your current situation. Best of luck. I hope you garner a ribbon with your current camera in the next few weeks coming up! ;^)

Remember, Matt volunteered to leave the team, they aren't kicking him off.

Think it's best to be left to PMs between the team members now ;)

I'll find out Monday if my homeowners will cover the loss, and if so, I will be ordering new replacement gear Monday night - expedited shipping, of course.

In the meantime, I have been carrying my 2.1 megapixel p&s with me...(just not leaving it in my truck) :)

I just wanted to have Team 20D weigh in on this - give the Team the choice to replace me or not. I will abide by their decision.

(Actually, my scores this past week are SO bad - I wouldn't be surprised if DPC gives me the boot, not just Team 20d) :)

Been away for a while..no time to read through the entire thread..is it too late to join whatever it is? What is it? Or will I be the smelly girl at the back who no one wants to pick?

amber, all teams at the WPL is full for this season but we do need substitute photographers to take the place of photographers that may need replacing. You can go HERE and view what the WPL is. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Actually, I think he asked for their opinion. I never said they were "kicking him off" - but were rather quick to replace him, apparently because he doesn't have the right camera anymore (which was stolen - where's the empathy?!).

Anyway, not my battle. Sorry for letting it strike a nerve...

Why are we on the verge of forfeiting?

I think it's cause you only have three entries for your team as of right now. If you have more people entered in the open challenges, you should be just fine.

Barring a DQ we have at least 4 entries that I am aware of. Yours, Bear's and mine from Yellow and Guyver has one in Toys. That's not counting any entries in Refraction.

What are we looking at in terms of score given the 3 entries already in the book for Outcasts?

It's impossible for southern_exposure to know about your entries in the Tuesday challenges, so what he is going on is the results from Yellow. He's simply saying that everyone else has enough entries in Yellow to where they will not have to forfeit, but you guys have to depend on the Tuesday challenges to get your 4. Doesn't sound like you have a problem.

Maybe the fact that my Toys entry is half a point better than my Yellow entry will help US a little bit :)

Alright Untouchables...anyone have a better score for the open challenges...do we have a shot of making a comeback?? Cause right now I have a lower score so you won’t be getting anymore out of me unless people go back and bump me up or all my low votes get taken away due to trollsâ€Â¦like that ever happens. My jump shot has potentialâ€Â¦for now.

My score is high enough to push our average over that at this point, so no worries. :)

Here is where I am so far -

Yellow - 5.232
Toys - 5.175
Textures - 5.449
Jump - 5.85

I am no use in this round - may be able to help in the next round with my Jump Shot. Off by two tenths of a point at the moment with top 4 averaged from each team. Not looking so good for us unless we have some powerhouses on the open challenges.

Edit - and a quick look ahead at the next opponent I am not sure how much my jump shot will help. Scary averages that Team Magnificent has.
