Funny world, being into this kind of photography; you can be out there for days and nothing happens. Wear out your shoes, freeze yourself half to death, get soaked, drink far too much far too expensive coffee, develop the strangest aches and pains from sheer walking.

And then you get this kind of day, when everything you turn your lens towards (almost) seems to work out. Last Friday, to be precise - so here's a few for your apreciation (or otherwise)

Brother....I know exactly what you mean and then some.

I was bumming because Candid III was drifting away from me....nothing to shoot. In a city with millions of people and a candid every 2 feet absolutely nothing stirred me. I thought I was losing it but I had a few good days.

Good - you got something for it then Steve? Looking forward to it :-)

Yeah...I'm in.

My last few Challenges were lackluster but I felt like entering regardless of the outcome. Candid on the other hand is in my zone and letting it go by with a wimper would have pissed me off.

I was really concerned that nothing was going to happen worth shooting but I managed to get something that has a little potential. We'll see.

This is a throw away of a guy that I take all the time. He was in rare form tonight...hollering at people wearing khaki pants. He has something against khaki, I guess?

(I posted here because it will die a lonely death otherwise, over in the Random Photo thread)

Know excatly what you mean Steve. Funny being in NYC some days and NOTHING seems to happen in front of the lens. But last Sunday was a good one! You saw my shot in Central Park already, and my entry to candid III has made me smile, but probably won't score that highly as I seem to have as, in general, it appears that "set-up" shots seem to score higher around here. Oh well, fingers crossed.
