| Which reminds me, I came here for the awesome photography and post-processing tips and got hooked on the challenges....I stay for the creative writing opportunities. ;-) |

And I came here after just purchasing my trusty Coolpix 4500 to learn about this new found passion... since then, I'm now often called a pro photog, making good coin and that's mostly due to this wonderful site!

I'm with ya.
I'm at work right now, it's a 4 day week for me so today is my Friday.
I'm going to get drunk right now. What have I got too lose, it can't hurt our ratings anymore than they are.

Setting aside my earlier post about why I'm here,
Really the guys at Writing.com suggested I come here...
(They didn't like my Nantucket)
Milk maid in the barn with her bucket
Spied a daisy, and thought "should I pluck it?"
The cow dropped a pie.
Milk splashed in her eye.
She exclaimed:
..Well it rhymes with Nantucket.
Still, she reached for the daisy to pluck it.
But alas, she tripped on her bucket.
Then what caught her eye
But another large pie,
As she landed face first...

I came here to learn, and man I have. I've gone from not knowing much to being in charge of photography for a daily publication and managing 12 photogs as well as shooting for it. I don't enter a whole lot, and half the time when I do it's not a serious entry, but I've learned a lot.
The weird thing is that I haven't had much time to be on here in the past 6 months because the rest of my life revolves around other photography outlets (class and work)....so it's helped me to reinforce what I love doing and I've started getting employment for it too....
now only if the employment paid me something legitimate. |
