I just got my 30D today. Neither RSE, PSCS2, nor Windows will read the RAW files, this is not good!

Any help?

Use the DPP software that came with your camera. Take a few minutes to learn how to use it, it suffices rather well for Bridge, in fact might be better on the batching. There's an online tutorial mentioned here before, worth a search.

DPP Linky DPP is very nice and easy to work with.

Windows and PSCS both offer RAW, also.

I used this to be able to PP my CR2 files in PSCS2.

There is no official support for the 30D raw files from Microsoft (RAW Thumbnailer) and Adobe (Bridge, PSCS2, etc.)

I shoot Raw+JPG and pick the RAWs based on the JPG thumbnails.

It sucks, I know. But support should be here soon. Hopefully.

Bibble already has 30D RAW support, as does Breezebrowser.

But they don't work with 30D raw files (yet)....please read the original post please.

Breezebrowser Pro will read them (1.4.2 version) - It's really cool program - it can create a web store from RAW files with one click. Yes, one click. I just got it so I am not up on all it's features, but I do use it for creating web proof sites like this.

It does alot of the things DPP can do. I use DPP and love it, but have been warned that the thumbnails it shows are teh embedded ones (which is why it's so fast) BUT they can be off in appearance compared to the RAW files and you can have a corrupt RAW file and see the thumb anyway (i have not experienced this, but i guess it can happen)

Yes. We care about the quality of our images - it's why we chose Canon.

Rimshot please....:P

LOL. Bada boom

iView Media Pro reads the 30D raws and I'm using it instead of the image processor feature of Bridge/PS to do the web cutdowns. Though DPP will do that, its batching is pretty good. I'm warming up to it. But the Image Processor will let you apply an action as part of the resize/embed profile, etc.
