I'm bored...what are some photography related songs people can think of?
Ones that come to my mind right away are:
REM - PSA (Bad Day) "it's been a bad day, please don't take my picture"
Nickelback - Photograph
And that one from the photo printer commercial with the cool special effects...

i have just redone my website using an Aussie artist 'Kate Ceberano'... i tryed to use good boppy songs rather than sad or popular songs, i want people to still be singing them long after they've loooked at my site. Also remember that as artist's ourselves we don't want people using our photos without our permission, any copyright weather it be on a cd or website is illegal, you do need permission off that artist to use their songs. Im sure we all respect that.
my site is //www.kellymuncephotography.com there are three songs on there.

"Pictures of You" - The Cure (became the kodak peashooter commercial song)...
I've been looking so long at these pictures of you
That I almost believe that they're real
I've been living so long with my pictures of you
That I almost believe that the pictures are
All I can feel....
The Cure rocks...

F-Stop Blues by Jack Johnson.
Inaudible Melodies and Better Together also by JJ make reference to photography. App'rently he's not a bad photographer as well as being a champion pro surfer and kickass musician. Bastard.
oh and another one - Photograph by Blue Rodeo

Okay, I know this is an old (dead) thread... but...
Even the big long list that was linked to is missing "Hey Ya!" by OutKast.
It's the song that popularized the phrase "Shake it like a Poloroid Picture"
Also an excellent song for the list is "Picture" by Sherl Crow Featuring Kid Rock. It's a little country, but honestly no more that Paul Simon was.
might be a streach, but you could include Maddona's "Vouge"
all of my other favorites are already mentioned here or on the "big list" |

These are actually the same song. I really like the R.E.M. version with Natalie Merchant singing along. I'm not sure if I've ever heard a straight 10000 Maniacs version. I'll have to look for it.

Hmmmm... Long time ago there was a drive-through photo processing store called the photomat. Their advertising song was:
"someday my prints will come
right from the photomat!"
But that probably doesn't count, so I won't bother posting it :P

"Every Time I See Your Picture I Cry" by Luba.
If you're not from Canada you probably don't know this song. |
