an example would be this one (ignore the added captions tho)
'Liquify' on the kid.
Is this grounds for DQ?

Not sure on this but I believe I read somewhere in a post that it was not legal. Something about creating or moving of a major element that goes beyond filter rules. In your example I would say it would be grounds for DQ. But this question may get answered better by the SC.

Oh I think it´s legal but of course depends on how you use it. If you use it to for example tuck in the stomach of a model just a little bit for a nude challenge I think it´s ok but if you start doing major stuff like in your example, I would think it to be illegal. SC should answer this ofcourse, not me.

The 'liquify' tool is legal if used for minor image adjustments or corrections. As Southern Gentleman stated already, in the image you posted the 'liquify' tool has been used to manipulate a major element thereby considerably altering the look of the original photo.

Not to get off subject but how many DQ violations did this person violate with this one entry? That's not his photo and it looks too good to be a photo of a photo so I'm guessing no EXIF data. He also added the text and possibly added a major element to the photo (creating that beak in liquidfy).

If I recall, the person was brand new to DPC and misinterpreted the objective of the challenge.

Oh I'm not picking on him. I just found the entry intriguing for all the violations.

just be careful not to move major elements around.

I got whacked by the DQ mafia on my only DQ submission using the 'liquify' tool only because I moved major elements around.

I have healed since.
