no love for the b/w???

The color version is already desat a little bit...her skin was really orange, even after white balance.

I like the color, but Id patch or heal the shadow aroud the cheek.

the color one catches the eye more

I like the colour :) I think I'd like the b&w if the far eye were more in focus, but I don't notice that in the colour unless I look for it.
When those are the only two points of colour, it brings out the difference more and looks just a touch...... off? IMO, anyway :)

I'm with BeeCee, the B/W seem to emphasize the DOF fall off and draws attention to the oof area.

ED: Oops, I like the Color shot.

Color!!

The eyes have just a bit of blue, like BeeCee said, not too noticable. And also, such beautiful pink lips...!

VS

Just a real quick heal on that cheek shadow, It is sloopy, lost some def around cheek, and the lips are kinda sloppy, but maybe you should play around with it-- Its a great shot, super catchlights and color balance, just that shadow is bothering me, maybe its just me.

I don't remember which website I found this tip on but you might want to take the color image and use the Colorize tool. Set the hue to 27 and the saturation to 19. For example:

You can get some warmer tones than what you have currently set as the B&W.

The above example was only to demonstrate what it could look like...let me know if you wish for me to remove the image.

there are no tones in the b/w version because i just extracted the red channel on the conversion...i love b/w's of children that way...but yes, keeping tones in the b/w is great for most pictures.

You kept some color in the right eye on that conversion, kinda looks funky
