I don't feel like I got robbed, but I can say that getting 4th place in Seasons is bitter sweet. It's awesome to do so well with all the talented people here, but being so close to a ribbon and not getting it is the tough part!!
Congrats to the winners!! My favorite of those three is Summer Field. I think Agwright got Robbed!!

OK, I'll play!!! :-D
When I entered this shot in the Seasons challenge I honestly thought it was ribbon material. To me the colors, the bug... they just SCREAM summer.
And then I see the winning photo of a wasp on ciment (great shot by the way!) and I'm still baffled at my 81st place! :-P Must have been too artsy?

I would suggest a different way to play the game ... amass a list of people who want to play, then assign each person someone else's portfolio to review, and post what THEY think is the person's most under-rated photo.
By the current "rules" of this thread, I'd say I could make the strongest case for Photo-Op, Big Sur having deserved a better score, especially given the circumstances and challenge topic. |

I'm not sure I'm playing this "new" game right but here's my vote. Although it scored pretty high, I though that leaves should have received a ribbon. Probably one of the best pictures I've seen on this site.

I am almost afraid to post this for fear of starting an arguement again. I don't think I deserved a ribbon but at the same time I don't think I deserved the ONES I got. I was robbed of a higher placing cause of the feelings at the time, and this images wasn't really voted on by the overall merit but merely given a 1 cause of its content.

i don't necessarily think I got "robbed" 'cause I didn't think this would score well here anyway, but
this is my all-time favorite photo I've ever submitted and it pretty much bombed here.

Although I'm not entirely sold on this being a good submition for the Yellow challenge, I think the picture is fantastic! Humor, sexyness, color, composition...it's all there. Great photo!

I actually like the picture. But I feel that it may not have done so well because there is actually a lot that is filling the negative space. Had there been more sky and less branches it may have done better but I'm just basing that on the way DPC'rs vote. I think it's a great picture but voters here can be overly technical and look for flaws to deduct points rather than appreciate the picture.

I agree! I don't think it was ribbon worthy but definitely not as crappy as its score... oh well, must be an acquired taste;) Thanks!
