I like the sharpened one better with the exception of the even more enhanced bloodshot look. Could live without that (sharp or blurred for that matter!) |

Red blood vessels in the eye are very normal, just not considered good photographic presentation by a lot of people I guess. |

Ok, so this isn't digital art (yet), but looks close and I'm wondering if someone could help me out with how to add sparkly stuff (pretty sure that's the technical term), like fairy dust or something...
There are a few pics in here that have that effect, like elsapo's:
and Kiwiness's
any help? |

well, hmmm... no help for sparkles, so I tried something on my own...
Here's my first try at digital art:
bland, but I like it, was fun to play with blending modes and gradient mapping |

Ok, well, Justin (elsapo) let me in on how to make sparkles, so I started playing around with star shaped brushes and scatter settings... This came out pretty cool (at least I think, lol), though I think that maybe there's too many of them... that's the lowest amount of them that I can get with the settings I know about, so I just started trying to erase some and also painting them one at a time in certain spots.
Long ramble short, what do you guys think? any suggestions? |

Before I post another one, I just want to say I really like amandalore's image a lot. Nicely done!
Then there's this one, done from two images. I plucked this guy out of the California Coastal waters and stuck him into the swirls created by another image. That one was once a net container that held vegetables, very tweaked.
I call it "Vortex". |
