Am looking for something that is fast (less than 1 minute), fairly portable, prints small format (4x6), and has direct printing, without costing an arm and a leg (no more than $500). I've been looking at the HiTi dye sublimation printers. I like all the features, but they don't have direct printing. Any other suggestions? Pro and cons?

heck if you're willing to spend $500 why not go for the Epson R-1800. Ya it's kinda big but can print 4x6 up to 13x19" and they are picture perfect. I've taken mine on trips in my RV but if you travel by airplane or bus it's too big.
