Ahh it was nice today in Portland. The heat of doom finally broke!
Mid-high 70s. THIS is what a Portland summer should be like. :D

This part of Texas is 99F and the forecast for the next 5 days is 100, 100, 101, 102, 101...repeat until November. :)

was 98 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today .....WAY TOO HOT !!!!
the humidity was up there too, which didnt help |

Last week it was 36C, today was 18C. Yesterday the high only reached 14C.
It's just a short recovery. Next week the forecast is for 30+ again. |

Please give me your low humidity 117! I mean it your temps are babycakes without the humidity, been in 136f in Boulder Dam but it was like 10% humidity... I would take that over my current 93f and 68% humidity at freaking 11:27pm at night! This crap really sucks!

I remember the midwest humidity well. I used to live in southern Illinois, near St. Louis. Not fun.

Ah, but what is heat without being out in it?
Yesterday, I spent the day on a sailboat in Chesapeake Bay. With no wind. Just a nice white deck to reflect the sun.
Tonight, I played Ultimate frisbee after it hit 95 or so. We won, earning us the privelege of playing our next playoff game on Wed. When it's predicted to hit 102.

102 degrees here today, supposed to be even worse tomorrow. temps are supposed to be in the low to mid 70's by thursday. oh so looking forward to that.

| Hottest it's been here in 11 years but I think our heat finally broke. After 5 days of 100+ weather and heat advisories, we had a big storm and are now down to predicted high of 87 (feels like 92) and are under flash flood advisories at least until tomorrow. Unfortunately, the humidity is up about 40% so it doesn't feel that much better. |

Edging toward 85 here in VT, with an estimated high of 91. Gonna be a warm few days. If it hits 100, I'm going to the beach. Until then, I'll hide in my office with the AC straining and my desk fan making up for it.

We are looking at high 90s today with a heat index of 105 - 110 here in central Il. And to top it off the AC in my office bldg is not working correctly.

| I think they're predicting our heat wave to break on Friday. It's 100F here today and supposed to be the same or close tomorrow and Thursday. With the humidity it's supposed to be feeling about 117F. Friday is supposed to be a cool 85F. Can't wait! My air conditioner is on it's last leg and can't compete with this. My living room is 80F with the air at full blast. |

Tomorrow: Sunshine. Near record high temperatures. Heat index near 120F. High around 105F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. |

The thermometer on the side of our garage which is getting direct sunlight right now shows 102.5 however I just called the weather number on the phone and it says 99. The reading from the phone is taken about 20 miles from here so 102 could be pretty accurate with heat index i would estimate it to be about 109 110 here. way too hot and humid to do anything outside but maybe go for a swim.

| The weather report this morning said it all! You know the country is screwed up when it's hotter in Minneapolis (101) then it is in Miami (84). It almost makes me want to leave Michigan and move to the deep south. At least they have milder winters. |
