Can somebody just please tell me what in the $%&* JUXTAPOSITION is? LMAO. Yeah yeah I'm the big dummy that had to ask, but I know somebody else out there doesn't know.

Juxtaposition is an act or instance of placing two things close together or side by side. This is often done in order to compare/contrast the two, to show similarities or differences, etc.

So, if there is ANY color in the B&W in color, do you think the image would tank even though the description says, "..PRIMARILY by the layering or juxtaposition of objects that are black and white?"

If I submit to that one, I probably won't risk that. As a voter, I think it would depend for me on the shot - if you've gotten creative with black and white objects and the color is in there for a good reason, I probably won't mind it, but otherwise I probably would not like it as much. |

I found the original thread that suggested these two challenges, and, IMHO, it seems to make more sense, and is more easily understood, than the current descriptions (before re-writing). But I am still at a loss as to why the need for Advanced rules in Open challenges. I think both of these could have been done in Basic.
