I want to convey my personal thanks to the site administrators for acting quickly to remove "Balzak". Both your speed in recognizing the problem and technical ability to block him are to be commended.

Never saw a person use so much profanity and be so disturbing in just one day. That guy has serious problems with his people skills.

I particularly appreciate having his offensive commment left on one of my images removed.

Thank You!

I noticed this guy last night after he left a comment on one of my photos, although it wasn't offensive it was strange none the less, then I looked at some of the other comments he had made which were extremely offensive and totally innapropriate, I am glad to see that they have gotten rid of him.

Ah, that must be the guy that left a strange comment on my current challenge picture, but it was gone this morning. I guess the reason it was gone was because HE was gone.

I echo the kudos to the site admins -- thanks for making this a fun and rewarding place to visit.

maybe that's why it says i have 4 comments...but only show 3...I was wondering...

Interesting, though, I guess he made some "helpful" comments, too. Do those remain on the photos?

I was just wondering if his voting was retracted as well?

Well.. I am happy your realized that this guy was not fair.

He left a very strange comment on my pic in "Nostalgia".
The comment was strange because, although expressing a kind of appreciation, it was exaggerated and it made use of unnecessary bad words.

My initial tought reading the comment was:
"Trolls have changed their strategy". =))

MMM.. after reading the whole thread I must admit that I had the suspicion that Balzac was somebody with Admin's rights which basically reduces the possibility to a real administrator or an hacker..

I too recieved a one word profane comment in the challenge. Went and checked out his other comments andforum posts. Decided that I should ask for the admins to take a look at him, because basically he was looking like a troll and only wanting to curse and be disruptive. Glad others saw that too.

I also sent a letter to admin complaining about him and my comment that he posted on one of my pics is goine also. I too was wondering if his score was taken away also.

And how can he still be on this site?

...as this is a free to register site, he may be back soon under a different name. I must admit, he left a very nice comment on one of my forum posts!!

This is a free to register site, but it is a bit different from other sites such as hotmail or yahoo with provide just an e-mail address.

Whoever registers here, can start voting, commenting and influencing the whole outcome of the site (which is not possible in the previous examples).

That's why, as I underlined in a few other posts, it should be enforced some kind of identity check on the registered users. If it is not possible, at least it should be refused users with e-mail addresses that have been created on free services like hotmail or yahoo because, after all, whoever registered user with bad intentions would use one of them to grant his/her anonimity.
