Hello all finepix users.

I have a 3800 and am looking to buy the telephoto and wide angle lenses from 47th street photography, shown here

Fuji shows a housing barrel with their lens here and here.

The 47th street lenses do not show an included barrel so I wondered if the lens adapter that comes with the camera is sufficient to add these lenses to the body?

If anyone knows, I would be obliged if you responded.

I bought 2X telephoto for my 3800 and only works about 1.5X.
Also noise increase and distortion,I'm getting blue color noise in daylight photos.
Save money and get yourself better camera IMO !

Thanks fot the response. Did the telephoto lens work with the included lens adapter?

Mine was 58 mm so I bought 55-58 step up ring.
The adapter included with camera is 55 mm.

I got a 3x teleconverter for my 3800 from 47th St. They threw in an adapter ring that made it fit onto the included barrel easily. However I quit using it after a few months because of the unpredictable and uncontrollable purple fringing, blue color noise, or, more accurately, the chromatic aberation.

That is why Fuji makes and sells 1.5X teleconverters only !But they aren't cheap ,$149 at least!

To Pitasman,
Have you used the Fuji brand 1.5 teleconverter? I'd hate to spend the bucks only to find the same distortion as the less expensive ones, perhaps to a lesser extent?

This photo is taken with 2X teleconverter with 3800 full zoom!
