Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD for Pentax
Yeap... Just got myself a HUGE lens and I am in serious business.
Wish myself good luck. Cost me about $150, and I think it's well worth it :)
I showed to my friends at our office, they were all like "Duuuude..." nothing else...
Yeap... a happy Pentax owner once more :D |

And I it's an awesome lens.
This weekend I am planning to go out, and take the best pictures I ever took... and share them with you...
one little problem... I can't fit into my SLR carrier, so I will have to buy a larger bag :P but it worth every penny...
I don't understand though. 70-300 mm and about 140 bucks, is like disposable Lens LOL
Cheers

It's my favorite right now. The macro mode was a bonus.
Hope you have a monopod. It comes in handy. |

Heh. I have a backpack that helps me deal with my long lenses and some smaller ones too...
Being a pentax owner, I hope you've at least looked into that funky fisheye zoom lens as well..
I will also be picking up a bag that fits just my camera... There are some decent smaller bags kicking around. |

First shots are in...
The deer picture was from behind two fences, so there was a blur that I had to work it out.
Overall results are very encouraging... Sunday I am out for baseball and soccer game hunt, I will definitely post some to same place. |

If you have a monopod, by all means take it. I have found it makes a world of difference. It is a very good lense, but it isn't the fastest in the world. |

I used tripod... I probably will get a monopod in the future, easier to carry around and easer for quick shots.
Since this is my first SLR and first Lens purchase, with the money I spent, I can't complain. Most of the people here smoke weekly cigarette or eat in restaurant with that kind of money (no offense, just to give an example here). Even I heard, the machine and the lens I have, almost like disposable, but not to me... they are a lot more valuable than any 6 grand machine for pros here ;)
I just took the Moon shot... I think I can do better job than this, but not bad for start for the Moon... I couldn't spot half of the Eagle yet though (LOL)
