| I was wondering if anyone knew anything about any upcoming Canon releases that would prevent me from wanting to upgrade from my Rebel XT to a 30D. I've seen the Nikon D80 and it doesn't "do it" for me. haha. Sorry Nikon fans, I've already got Canon lenses and I'm stickin' with Canon. I'm grateful for any and all opinions. Thanks. |

I think the XT is nearing the end of its 18 month product cycle, but I personally would upgrade to the 30D rather than the XT replacement. The nicer body, better controls, misc improvements would be worth it IMO.
That is, unless they release an awesome new sensor with the new one, like 12mp and with half the noise of the current 8mp ones at ISO 1600, and the dynamic range of the 5D sensor. That might make me want it. |
