We come up ever year at Thanksgiving. The wife's oldest sister is a Sister of St. Joseph and the Mother House owns a cottage near Lakeville/Geneseo that is neutral ground for Thinksgiving Dinner. :) |

I might be in interested in this trip, especially if someone has a couch I can crash on. I'll check in closer to the date and see what's developing. I'd expect 10/28 would be way too late this year, though. Even 10/14 may be marginal, based on what I'm seeing.

this sounds interesting, I'll check in here to see when a date is finallized and also I need to find a place to crash, and also where we would all meetup at. Plus gotta figure out if I wanna drive all the way up their.

If worst comes to worst, with two of us on board we can share driving and not have to crash at all, or we can split a room and save bucks.

Awesome! I would agree that 10/28 is way too late. Originally started planning before the early color started showing up.
I can do 10/14 and 10/8, but NOT 10/7. Of course you could all meet without me and then I'm be sad...

FWIW, Saturdays are looking bad for me because of my daughters crew schedule. Sundays will work, if we happen to do it then (I can travel on Saturday, because Crew is in the morning and early afternoon).

Sorry, I had to wait for the chief to get home. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to make either 10/7 or 10/8, as she and my daughter will be college hunting and I will be left to tend to the rest of the flock. (What a silly metaphor!)

Hmmm, colors do seem to be changing fast! If there's still a gtg in the works for 10/14, sign me up for that one. If there's going to be one on 10/28 too, going someplace different in or near Ithaca, I'd be game again.
Just to throw it out there, on 10/7 and 10/8 the Tioga County Apple Festival is going on at the Bement-Billings Farmstead, Route 38, Newark Valley NY. They've got a Civil War encampment and do a reenactment battle both days. The battle is neat the there's some nice scenery there. I'm planning on being there one day that weekend.
Anyway, I'll be waiting to see the updated lists. Should be fun!

The 14th and 28th are both Saturdays. :-/

As far as I know, we're planning gtgs for Oct 8, 14, and 28. As I understand it, Oct 14 and 28 are going to be in or around Ithaca, although I don't think any concrete plans have been set as to exactly where.
I'm not sure what's going on Oct 8. I know I'll be down at the Tioga County Apple Festival - ButterflySis is listed for that day as well, but not sure if she'll be there too or not.
Some info on the Apple Festival, for anyone interested: Apple Festival, featuring Civil War encampment and reenactments, live music, craft demonstrations, vendors, food, apples and more; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Bement-Billings Farmstead, Route 38, Newark Valley. Adults, $6; children, $4.

Odyssey is right.
10/14 & 10/28 will be in/around Ithaca.
10/8 is the Apple Festival. I will try and make that it but can't promise.
Since people are available on different dates I just listed them so you can come to one or all.
I haven't chosen an exact location. Was hoping others would help choose. eqsite had some good ideas. Anyone else? I'm fine with doing Ithaca again if that's where everyone wants to go.
