First of all, I would like to say hello as I am a newbie to DPC. I recently started using digital cameras (borrowed from friends) but will be getting one of my own pretty soon (Canon PowerShot G3). I currently own a Canon T70 SLR.
But enough about me, I am curious about when the next automotive challenge is. I am also curious about the next scenery challenge. I have a few entries in each segment. |

hey prinz, welcome!
One caution!!! --> keep in mind that you cannot use pictures you've taken outside of the challenge dates! You can only post photographs taken during the week of the challenge.

I hate to welcome you with bad news, but you'll only be able to use your old skills, not your old photos here. The general idea is that when each challenge is announced, you have one week (or less) to TAKE a photo to submit. Photos taken prior to the start of the challenge are not eligible and subject to disqualification.
As of now, no one knows when any challenges are scheduled; the two site admins usually pick one from a pool of suggestions as each challenge opens up.
The good news is a lot of folks with that G3 do pretty well around here, so you'll have good tools to go with your experience.
Also, if you join as a paid member, you'll have 10mb of portfolio space here to share (and even sell) any photos you want (including scans of your film work). |

Too slow!
But one correction to the above, you can POST old photos, just not ENTER them in the challenges. |
