Fair enough. I guess being a newbie here I haven't experienced too much of that, yet.

Chill out, David. Only one negative commment and it wasn't all that bad.

(I keep my speakers turned off, myself, because I don't like having music pop up.)

In any case, it worked fine for me and I thought it was a quite nice website.

Site works for me too! And you've got some awesome pictures there. Nice site.

I'd also like to say, David, that I don't participate in the forums a lot either, although I read them several times a day. The majority of active members on this site are very helpful and constructive, including strangeghost (and that's not bias). Give DPC another try.

I do agree with the sentiment that there is a Cool Kids Club of sorts on site and disagreeing with them can end with being tarred and feathered. This is wholly unfortunate, but since the circle is actually pretty small, the rest of us aren't so bad off as it would seem. However, please don't mistake honest criticism for an attack. This is a site that doesn't automatically pat everyone on the back for the effort - because we're here to learn. The kudos are nice, but the honest feedback is better.

As to the music: sorry, I'm in the camp that doesn't like it much. I'm of the "less is more" camp. As a consumer, when I load a website that forces music on me, the first thing I do is scramble for the mute button and unfortunately many sites don't give browsers the option. So I guess I don't mind it entirely for your site because I have the option to turn it off - but it's awfully embarrassing for people who are browing your site in their cubicles at work for site music to suddenly pop up when they're supposed to be working (and let's be honest, we all do it). Point: it has the potential to attract unwanted attention to your clients.

As to the design, it's lovely. Very user-friendly, pleasant color scheme, and no scrolling required (scrolling a website is another pet peeve of mine). The categories are simple. I do have to say that the people and black and white shots are an obvious strength. Very nice!

As someone with a writing degree, I do cringe a little at some of the phrasing in your bio. I am willing to do a quick copyedit for you if you like. I know most photographers are more visual than textual, so the right words don't always come so easily.
